BSNL illegal telephone exchange case: Supreme Court dismisses Dayanidhi Maran's appeal against Madras HC order

The Supreme Court (SC) today dismissed an appeal filed by former Union minister Dayanidhi Maran against the Madras High Court order setting aside his discharge in the BSNL illegal telephone exchange case. In a setback to the former Union minister and his elder brother Kalanidhi Maran, the Madras high court last Wednesday set aside a lower court order discharging the Maran brothers in the case.
