Contemplating taking biometric details of over 40 lakh people excluded from draft NRC: Centre to SC

The Centre on Tuesday told the Supreme Court that it is contemplating taking biometrics details of over 40 lakh people, whose names did not figure in the final NRC draft in Assam, to avoid their influx to other states on false identity.
