Police arrested five activists who were alleged to have links with the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist). The arrests took place on Tuesday after police conducted simultaneous raids in several cities. Arrested people are Sudha Bharadwaj, Arun Ferreira, Vernon Gonsalves, Gautam Navlakha and P Varavara Rao.
