Former PM Vajpayee cremated with full state honours

Former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, was cremated with full state honours at Smriti Sthal in New Delhi. Foster daughter Namita Kaul Bhattacharya performed the last rites of the deceased leader. President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi and former prime minister Manmohan Singh were among the thousands of people present at Smriti Sthal, including former dignitaries like King of Bhutan and Afghanistan's Hamid Karzai.
