New leak shows Julian Assange sought Russian visa in 2010

To avoid extradition to face sex crime allegations in Sweden, Assange in June 2012 took refuge at the Ecuadorean Embassy in London, where he is barred from internet access. His representatives didn't respond to repeated messages seeking comment about the visa bid. The Russian Embassy in London says it doesn't discuss the personal details of visa applicants.
