Thousands protest in Hong Kong over China suppression

While October 1 is celebrated in China as its national day, Hong Kong leads out a pro-democracy protest annually. Hong Kong enjoys rights unseen on the mainland but recently, an independence movement has emerged. A week back, Hong Kong's pro-independence party was banned on the grounds it was a threat to national security.
