Trump climbs down in wall row, Congress passes bill ending shutdown

While Trump agreed to reopen govt without first getting $5.7 bn in border wall funds, he still threatened to renew a state of emergency, if there is no breakthrough in the next 3 weeks. "Over the next 21 days, I expect that both Democrats and Republicans will operate in good faith," he said as he announced he would reopen the government.
