Suicide blast near airport in east kills 16: Afghan official

Militants in Afghanistan set off a suicide blast on Wednesday at a construction company near the airport in Jalalabad, killing at least 16 people. The dawn assault drew in US forces to assist the Afghan troops in the ensuing shootout. No one immediately claimed responsibility but both the Taliban and the IS are active in eastern Afghanistan.
