After 67-yr run, MAD to go off newsstands

MAD, the illustrated humour magazine — instantly recognisable by the gap-toothed smiling face of mascot Alfred E Neuman — will stop publishing new content after its fall issue. The only new material will come in special editions at the end of the year. The satirical magazine influenced everyone from ā€œWeird Alā€ Yankovic to the writers of ā€œThe Simpsonsā€.
