Very different, symbolic haj in Saudi Arabia amid coronavirus

For the first time in nearly a century, the Saudi government barred Muslims from entering the kingdom from abroad to perform the haj in order to limit exposure of the coronavirus. Instead, as little as 1,000 people already residing in Saudi Arabia were selected to take part in the haj this year.
