Typhoon pummels South Korea with flooding, damaging winds

With winds blowing up to 126 kilometers (78 miles) per hour, Typhoon Maysak was offshore east of the city of Sokcho on Thursday morning and heading towards North Korea, said South Korea's weather agency. It expected Maysak to weaken to a tropical storm within hours.
