North Korea ignores US offer for talks, citing hostility

The "new regime" in the US, vice foreign minister Choe Son Hui said, had only put forward a "lunatic theory of 'threat from north Korea' and groundless rhetoric about 'complete denuclearisation'". Choe said that for talks to take place, Pyongyang and Washington would have to meet as equals.
