In 2nd-worst football stadium disaster, 125 killed in Indonesia

At least 125 people were killed and more than 320 injured in a stampede at a football stadium in Indonesia on Saturday as police sought to quell violence on the pitch with tear gas, making it one of the world’s worst stadium disasters. Fans of the losing home side invaded the pitch after the final whistle and clashed with police, until the tear gas sparked a chaotic scramble for the exits.
