China expands defence budget 7.2%, marking just .1% increase

The world's second-largest military budget has seen a pattern of single-digit percentage increases for eight years in a row, with the 2023 figure reaching $224 billion. In addition to possessing the world's largest standing army, China has the biggest navy and has recently unveiled its third aircraft carrier.
