GOP lawmakers override veto of transgender bill in Kentucky

Lawmakers in Kentucky have overturned the Democratic governor's veto of a controversial bill regulating transgender youths' lives. The move means that minors in the state will be banned from accessing gender-affirming health care, leading opponents to describe the legislation as a human rights issue. At least eleven other states have also passed laws restricting or banning such care.
