Appeals court rejects Trump effort to block Pence testimony

The US appeals court denied a request by Donald Trump's lawyers to block former vice president Mike Pence from testifying in front of a grand jury investigating claims of attempts to overturn the 2020 Presidential Election result. The investigation has been running for several months, focusing initially on the events leading up to the 6 January 2021 insurrection at the US Capitol, which Mike Pence attended.
