China announces military drills in Taiwan Strait

China's military will take part in three days of drills in the Taiwan Strait designated as "United Sharp Sword" for "combat preparedness". According to the Peoples Liberation Army's Eastern Theatre Command, the processes will be conducted to the north and south of Taiwan, involving police patrols in the Strait and in the sea and airspace to the east.
