Russia's Wagner group appears to do U-turn on Bakhmut withdrawal

Wagner, the Russian mercenary group, has decided to abandon plans to withdraw from the city of Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine, reportedly due to promises of more weapons by Moscow. Ukrainian media and officials claim that overnight explosions took place in the country, while Russian officials said they had destroyed 22 Ukrainian drones over the Black Sea during the same period.
