US navy hit by Chinese hacking campaign, report says

A reported state-sponsored Chinese hacking campaign against targets in the US and Guam has raised concerns that Beijing is preparing to disrupt communications in the Pacific in the event of conflict. The campaign was identified by Microsoft, which alleges that a group of state-sponsored Chinese hackers, which it has named Volt Typhoon, breached a number of government, communication, manufacturing, technical and military institutions.
