Biden ally in Senate indicted on bribery charges over Egypt ties, could hit Democrats bid to stay in majority in 2024

Prosecutors accuse them of accepting bribes in exchange for using Menendez's influence to benefit the businessmen and the government of Egypt. Menendez, who chairs the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, has been an ally to President Joe Biden.
