OAS says legal actions in Guatemala appear aimed at keeping president-elect from taking power

The head of the Organization of American States' election observation mission stated that the legal actions taken against Guatemala's Seed Movement party appear to be politically motivated in order to prevent President-elect Bernardo Arevalo from taking power. The August election was deemed peaceful and transparent, with no evidence of fraud. Preventing Arevalo from assuming office would violate the constitutional order and go against the will of the people.
