Taiwan detects 68 Chinese warplanes, 10 Navy vessels near island

China has increased its military exercises near Taiwan, scrambling 68 military aircraft and sending 10 navy vessels into the area. The Chinese fleet, including the Shandong aircraft carrier, was detected about 60 nautical miles southeast of Taiwan. China claims Taiwan as its own territory and has been pressuring the island through military and political means.
