At least 10 migrants are reported killed in a freight truck crash in southern Mexico

A truck carrying migrants crashed in southern Mexico near the Guatemalan border, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 people and injuring 15 others. Most of the victims were believed to be Cuban migrants who were hitching rides on passing vehicles. Mexican authorities often prohibit migrants without proper documents from riding buses, leading them to walk along highways and hitch rides on trucks. This incident is part of a recent surge in migrant deaths in Mexico as migrants attempt to reach the US border.
