Donald Trump may visit the Capitol to address Republicans as they pick a new speaker

Former President Donald Trump is in talks to visit Capitol Hill next week as Republicans discuss the next speaker of the House. Some on the far right have suggested Trump as a candidate, but sources say he would be there to speak with Republican lawmakers, not to pitch himself for the role. Trump is being encouraged to run by a small group of far-right allies, including Marjorie Taylor Greene.
