Kaiser Permanente reaches a tentative deal with health care worker unions after a recent strike

Unions representing 85,000 health care workers have reached a tentative agreement with Kaiser Permanente following a strike over wages and staffing levels. The deal includes minimum hourly wages of $25 in California and $23 in other states, as well as a 21% wage increase over four years. The agreement also addresses subcontracting and outsourcing, invests in the current workforce, and aims to address the staffing crisis.
