American YouTuber MrBeast's video about constructing 100 wells in Africa has received mixed responses. Kenyan activists and journalists pointed out the failures of the Kenyan government. Despite potential backlash, MrBeast believes the wells will provide clean drinking water for 500,000 people in Cameroon, Kenya, Somalia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. The associated fundraising campaign has raised over $300,000. MrBeast also donated supplies to Kenyan schools and built a bridge and donated bicycles to Zimbabwean villages.
