Antony Blinken rebuffs Arab push for truce

Arab leaders have called for an immediate ceasefire in Israel's offensive in Gaza, but US Secretary of State Antony Blinken argued that a halt to the fighting now would only allow Hamas to regroup and attack Israel again. Turkey has recalled its ambassador to Israel in response to the country's refusal to agree to a ceasefire. The health ministry in Gaza reports that over 9,480 Gazans, mostly women and children, have been killed so far in Israeli strikes.
