Former US first lady Rosalynn Carter dies at 96

Rosalynn Carter, former US first lady and mental health advocate, passed away at the age of 96. Throughout her life, she played a prominent role in her husband's administration and dedicated herself to promoting mental health. She was known for her eloquence, activism, and passion for the mentally ill. Carter also served as an honorary chair of the President's Commission on Mental Health and continued her advocacy work through the Carter Center. Additionally, she was involved in the Habitat for Humanity charity and the Plains community.
