Gaza truce extension a 'glimpse of hope': UN chief

The United Nations chief hails the two-day extension of the truce between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, and called it a glimpse of hope. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres hopes that this extension will enable an increase in humanitarian aid to the suffering people in Gaza. The ceasefire in Gaza has been extended for two more days, according to Qatar's foreign ministry. The truce is the first halt in fighting in seven weeks since Hamas attacked Israel, resulting in casualties and hostages.
