Pakistan army officer, 3 soldiers die in operation near Durand Line

Four soldiers, including a Pakistan army lieutenant-colonel, were killed in an exchange of fire with suspected militants in the Khyber tribal district. Security forces launched an operation in Tirah Valley after receiving reports of militants in the area. As troops closed in, a group of militants was intercepted, leading to a shootout that resulted in the deaths of the soldiers and three militants. This incident follows recent terrorist attacks on a Pakistani Air Force base and security personnel in other regions of the country.
