American-Canadian-Israeli woman believed to be held hostage in Gaza pronounced dead

An American-Canadian-Israeli woman, Judih Weinstein, was announced dead in a hard-hit Israeli kibbutz. She and her husband, Gad Haggai, were attacked by Hamas militants while taking a walk near their home in Kibbutz Nir Oz. Weinstein was able to call emergency services and inform them about the attack before her death. The kibbutz recently announced the death of Haggai, whose body was taken to Gaza. Israeli authorities have determined that both Weinstein and Haggai were killed on October 7.
