In a central Florida shopping mall, multiple people were injured in what authorities have characterized as an "active shooting" incident on Saturday. The Ocala Police Department responded to the incident at the Paddock Mall, situated approximately 80 miles northwest of Orlando. The suspect reportedly fled, prompting the evacuation of the mall. Authorities advised people to steer clear of the area. Eyewitnesses Calvin and Diana Amos, who were in the JC Penney store, described their evacuation as quick and expressed feelings of fear and apprehension.
