Israeli women fight on frontline, a first

Israeli ground forces, including female combat soldiers, have been fighting in the Gaza Strip since late October. The inclusion of women in combat units has helped boost the image of the army after recent failures. The debate over women serving at the front is now effectively over, according to Lt Gen Herzi Halevi, the military's chief of staff.
