Woman pleads guilty to smuggling 29 turtles worth $40K across US-Canada border

Wan Yee Ng admitted to trying to smuggle 29 eastern box turtles, valued over $40,000, from the US to Canada via an inflatable kayak. She faces sentencing in December after being caught in Vermont. The turtles were likely intended for sale in Hong Kong. Ng has agreed to pay for their care.
