South Carolina University issues all-clear after active shooter alert

The University of South Carolina issued and then lifted a shelter-in-place order Sunday evening following reports of a possible active shooter near the Thomas Cooper Library. Officials confirmed there was no gunman, attributing the alert to an abundance of caution after a video circulated online.
